Let’s look at how you download and register the AlertTraveler® app.

You can find the app in the iTunes Store or the Google Play Store by searching for AlertTraveler®.

You’re seeing my iPhone; however, these instructions are applicable to IOS or Android devices.

Once the app is downloaded, use your mobile web browser to login to your account on your institution’s Study Abroad or Travel Registry site.

After logging in..... scroll down to the AlertTraveler® registration panel. This panel allows you to enter your contact info, so that your administrator can send you alerts and check in requests via text message.

In order to remain as safe as possible while you travel you should allow text messages by keeping the box checked, provide your mobile number, and update the screen if your number changes.

At the bottom of the panel, you will see a login to AlertTraveler® button. Tap this and the app you just installed will be launched and activated. Once you activate the app, AlertTraveler® will prompt you to grant several IOS or Android system permissions. Allowing all permissions is important so that you can stay safe while traveling.
