Below is an example timeline of a standard ISSS implementation project. For clients who are planning to implement ISSS Student in addition to ISSS Scholar, see the ISSS Student Implementation Timeline for additional details.
Phase 1: Plan (1 week)
- 2 planning/training meetings with TD Implementation Engineer
- Introduction to project plan, discussion of business processes, product demo, initial introduction to software functionality
Phase 2: Integrate (3 weeks)*
- Configure custom URL, campus authentication, and SPF/DKIM
- During the integration phase, IT resources need to be readily available
*Note that this phase is not needed / eliminated if ISSS Student has already been implemented
Phase 3: Configure & Train (7 weeks)
- TD Implementation Engineer builds essential SEVIS requests and scholar communications
- Twice-weekly meeting between the functional office and the TD Implementation Engineer to review site build and validate the work completed by the Implementation Engineer, including multiple training sessions for end users
Phase 4: Launch (1 week)
- Connect to SEVIS using the SEVIS Admin Module (discontinue use of the previous batching solution or working directly in SEVIS RTI)
- Scholars and administrators begin submitting records directly in TDS
Phase 5: Post Launch (1 week)
- Up to 3 post-launch meetings with TD Implementation Engineer
- Introduction to Customer Success and Customer Support teams
Phase 6: Maintain (ongoing)
- Use and administer your TD site
- Utilize TD support for help
- Build additional stages and requests or configure additional features as desired
