This Knowledgebase Article reviews the features and functions of the Batch Manager settings located within the Site Settings of ISSS Student.
On this page, ISSS Admins can configure:
- IF they want to have batches sent to SEVIS automatically,
- And, if so, they can design the logic for the task that will do it.
- If no configurations are present, the default will be that each batch will need to be manually uploaded to SEVIS by the user.
Getting Started
Navigate to the Batch Manager settings by clicking the Hamburger menu option located in the upper left corner of the screen. From the menu, select Configuration > Site Settings. The Batch Manager will be the sixth tab within the Site Settings.
Defining Automation of a Batch
Defining automation of a batch will allow any batches created to be automatically sent to SEVIS on a nightly basis. There are two options for frequency: indefinitely and within a date range.
To set up a batch automation, click into the campus site for the panel to expand. In the lower right corner of that panel, click on the Plus icon. Note: If no settings are present for the campus, the default will be that there is no automation. The ISSS Admin will need to manually send all batches.
- Select the batch action that you would like to automate from the dropdown menu. Multiple actions can be selected at a time.
- Select the frequency that you would like to have batches sent to SEVIS. This will occur on a nightly basis either indefinitely, or on a date range defined.
- Click Save
In the upper righthand corner of the Batch Manager setting is the option to set the time that the batch is sent to SEVIS. This would be the time zone settings for the account (local time for client), for example, this would automate batches to be sent to SEVIS every night at 8:00 PM local time.
