Overview
This KB provides an overview of the features of the Student Request List. The Student Request List is where you, the ISSS Admin, can review and process requests that come in from the student submission, the DSO ISSS Admin, or coming in from your SIS. Admins can configure which columns display by clicking the cog in the upper righthand corner of the page and selecting/deselecting the appropriate fields from the dropdown menu:
Navigating to the Student Request List
To navigate to the Student Request List, begin by going to SEVIS Admin > ISSS Student > Menu > Student Request List. Here you will land on the main page with four tab options along the top:
- My Requests: Submitted requests that have been assigned to you through the Student Request Assignment.
- All Requests: All requests that have been submitted in your organization. By default, this will display all submitted requests.
- SIS Changes: Any information updates that are coming in from the SIS.
- Snoozed Changes: All updates coming from the SIS that have been marked to be processed at a later time and updates that have been dismissed in the last 30 days.
My Requests
When navigating to the Student Request List, the ISSS Admin lands first on the My Requests dashboard. This dashboard is where the ISSS Admin can view all Requests that were submitted by Students, RTI, or SIS that have been assigned to them in the Student Request Assignment. The dashboard displays the request information in the following columns:
- Student Name
- SEVIS Status
- Org ID
- Education Level
- Request Status
- Assignee
- Date Assigned (for assignments triggered after June 1, 2021)
- Request Type
- SEVIS Actions
- Request Submitted Date
- Source
- Field Name
- From
- To
Note: If there is an * next to the status in the Request Status column, this request was previously approved and had been apart of a batch but was removed from the batch.
In the upper center of the page, the ISSS Admin can filter requests in the Search by Name search function. Here you can search for any requests by the Student’s name. Clicking on the down arrow located just to the right of the search feature will allow you to do a filter search by:
- Saved Filters
- Request Type
- Date Option
- Campus Site
- Education Level
- Visa Type
- Program Start and End Dates
- SEVIS Status
- Request Status
- Stage Status
- Request Assignee
On the left side of the dashboard is an Options dropdown menu. Clicking on the Options menu will provide the ISSS Admin with actions to take on the request. The ISSS Admin can:
- Re-assign Request
- Approve and Create New Batch
- Approve and Add to Existing Batch
- Approve
- Dismiss the SIS Record
- Dismiss Student Requests
Note: ISSS Admins can view the current assignee for each request in each of the Student Request List views. In addition, admins can reassign an individual request to another ISSS admin by clicking the edit pencil in the Assignee column and can reassign in bulk by selecting the checkbox next to multiple requests and choosing “Re-assign Request” from the Options List. Requests can be reassigned to any other officer from the student’s campus. An email will be sent to the Admin to whom the request was reassigned. When reassigning requests, admins can include internal notes. Notes are visible by navigating to Student Profile --> Requests Tab --> Pending Requests Panel --> History Icon. In addition, there is the option for admins to initiate an email to be sent to the affected student(s).
All Requests
The All Requests tab is set-up identical to the My Requests tab, however, this tab will display all Requests that have been submitted in your institution through students, ISSS Admins, and the SIS.

SIS Changes
The next tab of the Student Request List is SIS Changes tab. Requests on this tab are those that come in through your integrated SIS. The dashboard displays the request information in the following columns:
- Name
- Status
- Actions
- Org ID
- Created On Date
- Comparison Screen
- Field Name
- From
- To
When opening SIS Requests, all SIS Requests for any campus will appear in the list. SIS Requests can be filtered by Campus Site, SEVIS Status, and Action Type. ISSS Admins can also select that they wish to select all SEVIS requests or all Non-SEVIS requests. Requests can also be searched by the student's name in the Search by Name field.
The Actions button in the upper left corner of the screen is where ISSS Admins can take actions and process SIS Requests. The ISSS Admin has the following actions:
- Create Request
- Approve and Create New Batch
- Approve and Add to Existing Batch
- Dismiss
- Snooze
- Update Student Data
Snoozed Changes
The last tab on the Student Request List is the Snoozed Changes tab. Snoozed Changes houses all updates coming from the SIS that have been marked to be processed at a later time as well as changes that have been dismissed in the last 30 days. The dashboard will display information on snoozed updates with the following information:
- Name
- Status
- Actions
- Type
- Snoozed Until
- Dismissed On
- Field Name
- From
- To
To snooze a SIS change, navigate to the SIS Changes and click the checkbox of the SIS update that needs to be processed at a later time. In the Actions button in the upper left corner of the page, select the Snooze option. A small calendar window will appear where the ISSS Admin can select which date the update will remain snoozed until.
The snoozed SIS update will automatically move back to the SIS Changes tab on the scheduled date. However, if the ISSS Admin is ready to take action on a snoozed SIS update earlier than scheduled, they can move the item back to the SIS Changes tab or dismiss the update.
A dismissed SIS Change will remain on the Snoozed SIS tab for 30 days or until they are removed entirely.
