Overview
This KB reviews the process of creating a new request from the Student Profile. Requests can be initiated by both the student and the ISSS Admin. For more information on configuring requests, check out the following article: ISSS: Request Configuration.
- Step 1: Navigate to Student Profile
- Step 2: Click the Plus Button in Requests Tab
- Step 3: Complete the Content in the Request
Step 1: Navigate to the Student Profile
To initiate a request for a student, navigate to the Student List and click on the name of the student you would like to make a request for.
Once in the student's profile, click into the Requests tab. Three dashboards will appear: Pending Requests, Completed Requests, and Correction Requests.
Step 2: Click the Plus Button in Requests Tab
To start a new request, click on the 'Plus' button located in the upper right-hand corner of the Pending Requests section.
A new modal window will appear with a selection of requests that are available for that student in their current stage and visa type. Click on the name of the request that you want to initiate for the student.
Step 3: Complete the Content in the Request
Clicking any of the requests will open into a modal window. Complete the request and click the following options: Submit to submit the request, making it viewable to the student, Save to save the request to complete at a later time, or Approve Changes and either Post to RTI or Batch to RTI.
Once an action is taken for the request, the request will appear in the Pending Requests section until it has either been completed or dismissed. For more information on approving requests and processing changes, check out the following article: ISSS Student: Processing a Request from the Student Request List.
