ISSS Standard Implementation with Admission Package

The Admission Package, which adds the Round Trip Data Transfer, extends the standard TDS implementation timeline by one month. Below is an example timeline of a standard ISSS implementation project with the admission package. Phase 1: Plan (2 weeks)

    • 2-4 planning/training meetings with TD Implementation Manager
    • Configure SEVIS Beta Site, Purchase/Convert Batch Certificate, Sign SEVP Customer Agreement

Phase 2: Integrate (6 weeks + 4 weeks for Admissions Package)

    • Configure custom URL, campus authentication, and data transfer from the SIS
    • 2 intensive weeks; requiring daily IT time commitment
    • Working with campus IT and Terra Dotta, the functional office will review and validate SIS data
    • 2 planning/preparation meetings will be held previous to the start of implementation Week 1 (see the Overview section at the top of this page)
    • Admission Package- 1 intensive week; requiring daily IT time commitment followed by three weeks for validation of Round Trip Data Transfer process

Phase 3: Build (4 weeks + 2 weeks for Admissions Package)

    • TD Implementation Manager builds essential SEVIS programs and up to 2 non-SEVIS programs.
    • Daily meetings with the functional office to review site build and validate the work completed by the Implementation Manager during the 3-week intensive build; requires a daily functional office time commitment
        • First intensive week will focus on the admission application building/processing
        • Second and third intensive weeks will focus on essential SEVIS programs and up to 2 non-SEVIS programs
    • Functional office training during the non-intensive weeks (three 90-minute SEVIS Admin Trainings)

Phase 4: Launch (4 weeks)

    • Connect to SEVIS using batch and RTI-Connect functionality (discontinue use of the previous batching solution or working directly in SEVIS RTI)
    • Users begin submitting records directly in TDS
    • Up to 6 post-launch meetings with TD Implementation Manager
    • End of Implementation Assistance

Phase 5: Maintain (ongoing)

    • Use and administer your TD site
    • Utilize TD support for help
    • Build additional programs or configure additional features as desired
    • Stay engaged with TD! We are committed to providing you cutting edge software. In order to do that, we are constantly developing new and exciting features. Each quarter we will release new and improved functionality. With each release, we will publish release notes and host a webinar, we recommend that you stay up to date on each release to take full advantage of all aspects of Terra Dotta Software.
