Overview
This article provides numeric identifiers that can be used to edit the text interface for use with these classic Terra Dotta features:
Important Note:
- Classic text interface fields are not supported in the Applicant Experience.
- If your office decides that making edits to a site using text interface is necessary, it is recommended that you keep track of all edits made.
- You should never leave a text interface field completely blank (null). If the text needs to be removed entirely rather than simply altered, you should replace the text with a single space. This should, for all purposes "remove" the text without leaving the field null.
- It is strongly recommended that you immediately test the new text interface after making changes to ensure that the text interface was properly implemented. While there are no restrictions on the text that you can enter into these fields, new text that is much longer than the original default text may result in improper rendering of the pages.
Signature Verification Form
The following is the template of a signature verification form that can be edited using the text interface tool:

Recommendation Request Page
The "Recommendation Information" page is the form that applicants fill out for a recommender to use as a reference when writing their recommendation. It is universal for all recommendation types, but it is not possible to access this form through the "markers" interface due to form requirements. To customize this form, the text interface fields are as follows:

Email Notifications
Use the following process to modify the default text for automatic email notifications:
- Log in and turn on markers by adding &Markers to the end of the URL.
- Generate the automatic email.
- Turn off the markers by re-adding &Markers to the end of URL and refreshing the screen until they have been removed.
- Access the email log under Maintenance > Sent Email select the ID number of the email to view the text field number(s).
- Navigate to Maintenance > Text Interface and enter the Identifier number. Click "Find", enter the new value, and click "Update".
