Overview
This article gives a tour of the H-1B and O-1 Scholar’s profile from the H-1B/ O-1 Beneficiary’s view. The scholar profile for an H-1B and an O-1 scholar from the beneficiary's view are identical.
The tour begins after the ISSS admin has selected to begin processing the applicant as an H-1B/O-1 visa type, and has opened the Scholar Portal to the prospective employee. The first steps in the process cannot be viewed by the scholar. The Departmental Admin (or ISSS Admin) must complete the initial New Sponsorship Request. At this point, the ISSS Admin will determine how to process the scholar's case (as an H or J). The ISSS Admin will also be able to activate the Scholar Portal via Portal Invitation. This process is described in the article Scholar Admin: Creating an H-1B or O-1 Scholar.
For more information on the ISSS Admin's view of the H-1B Scholar Profile, see Scholar Admin: Tour of ISSS Admin View for H-1B Scholar.
For more information on the ISSS Admin's view of the O-1 Scholar Profile, see Scholar Admin: Tour of ISSS Admin View for O-1 Scholar.

The scholar can ONLY view information that the ISSS Admin has assigned to the Scholar when the workflow was configured. Note, this page will display as a blank page from the scholar's view, if all content is given only Departmental view permissions.
Documents

The Documents tab categorizes all documents contained within a beneficiary's record, from passport ID pages to a resume or CV and appointment letters. The Beneficiary, Department, and ISSS office may all upload documents here. The document categories can be customized by the ISSS Admin to display desired categories to Departmental Admins. This can be done in the requests setting tabs in Site Settings.
