This KB provides an overview of the SEVIS Profile Records data display and functionality in the SEVIS Admin.
The SEVIS Profile is a "one-stop shop" for staff to view everything in a student's or scholar's SEVIS past, present, and future, providing the most critical and frequently-used information in a simple way. Most of the information has also been adapted from SEVIS RTI to streamline the information gathering process.
The Records Section will include information on Actions that have been created in Terra Dotta or via the Activities panel.
Admins can add a new SEVIS record for a user by clicking the New Record button.
After clicking the New Record button, you can select the program and applicable application cycle for the user.
By clicking the Scrub Compare/Review button, you can scrub a single record, or you can select two records of the same type to review them. Select the two records by checking the boxes on the left of the screen. A new page will display with the data from the two records in parallel, so you quickly can determine which of the two records to scrub.
When a record is scrubbed, it is deleted forever; there is no way to retrieve the information. Only scrub records when records are in error or duplicates. Scrub history will be retained in the Profile History tab.
Users with multiple Academic Objective Records in the same status now have an alert at the top of their SEVIS Profile record indicating this. A Scrub Compare/Review button is also conveniently located within the alert to allow the Admin an opportunity for a quick resolution.
