RTI Connect now supports the scrape and download of the following SEVIS alert lists:
- Active Students Requiring Registration
- F/M Students in Initial Status with Port of Entry Records
SEVIS Alert Scraping and Tagging
The RTI Panel alert section appears in in the RTI Dashboard. The image below shows how you can access Alert lists, and view the currently available downloaded Alert lists.
Select the Campus Site (highlighted in the image below - this opens a dropdown menu), and the Alert from the dropdown menu.
The table shows the downloaded alerts with metadata:
- Download Date
- Full / Partial Alert download
- Sorted By (if partial)
- Sort Order (if partial)
- Records downloaded (if partial)
- Advisor who logged in to download the list
Click on the link to view the entire downloaded alert.
The downloaded alert list opens into a comparison screen where you can review your individual SEVIS records with alerts, review compared information, and apply tags/alert icons to the affected records. You can apply relevant tags and/or notes to the record that requires follow-up - either individually by record, or to a group of records.
Important note regarding the Students who have Approved OPT without Employer Information alert list: RTI Connect alerts follow SEVIS logic, and matches OPT records based on actual OPT start and end dates. If the actual OPT start and end dates are blank in the OPT record for a user, RTI Connect alerts will be unable to confirm a match. This alert will, therefore, work best for clients who accurately maintain their OPT data in Terra Dotta.
After you apply a tag from the downloaded alert list, an intuitive alert icon now appears on the user’s SEVIS Profile picture.
Clicking on the alert icon will open a new window where you can manage the alert.
The Alerts detail page will clearly indicate the type of alert tag, the record to which it has been added, any notes you have included with the alert tag, and the date last updated.
Alert tags/icons can be either manually removed, or they will be automatically removed the next time the alert list is downloaded and the record no longer appears on the list, ensuring your scrapes and downloads are syncing with the most current actionable information.
Clicking on the icons on the far right in the below image will display a group of the relevant comments and emails associated with the record, going back one year from the present date.
