This article outlines the steps to terminate a SEVIS Record in active status for an F/M student.
Step 1: Find Academic Objective Record
Navigate to Record > Search. Enter the name of the student whose Academic Objective (SEVIS) record you would like to terminate in SEVIS.
Step 2: Complete or Review SEVIS Data
SEVIS-MAPPED QUESTION ITEMS
Admins should review, edit or complete the required SEVIS-mapped Question Items in the user's record:
PROVIDED QUESTIONNAIRES
STATUS UPDATE: CANCEL/TERMINATE (F/M)
A) Terminate Reason - Select the termination reason from the drop-down menu.
B) Terminate Other Remarks - Enter remarks to be included to SEVIS if the Other reason selected in question (A). This is only required if the Other is selected for (A).
C) Terminate Remarks - Enter any remarks you wish to be included to SEVIS with the terminate update. This remarks field is optional.
D) Click Submit.
Step 3: Create New SEVIS Update Record
