This article outlines the steps to request a reprint of Form I-20.
Step 1: Create New SEVIS Update Record
- Click the button at the top of the Academic Objective record.
- This button will redirect you to the SEVIS Profile.
- Click the New SEVIS update record button at the top of the user's SEVIS Profile.
- Clicking New SEVIS Update Record brings you to a screen where you can attach an action to a SEVIS Update Record.
- Under the Actions drop down menu, select Reprint Request.
- Immediately after selecting this action, a window will display, prompting you to enter the following information:
- Reason: Select from the drop-down menu, the reason for the reprint request.
- Remarks: Enter any remarks to include with the reprint request to SEVIS. Remarks are not required.
- Click Add.
- Reprint Request does not associate with any Address Doctor verification in SEVIS; you will not need to submit an Address Doctor override reason for this update action.
- When you click Add, Terra Dotta will automatically review and verify that the information needed for the Reprint Request SEVIS record update is present in the record you selected. If all the information you need is present in the record, a button will appear, including the date.
- If your update record fails to verify, a button will appear, including the date you tried to verify that action.
- After the Reprint Request action has been added and verified, you can select whether or not you would like to request an I-20 be returned with this SEVIS batch.
- To request a form I-20, locate the Return Form drop-down menu and select the Reprint Request from the list (this action should be the only action to choose from on this list).
- You may add internal comments about a SEVIS record update that is saved and only viewable by other staff with P/DSO privileges. Adding internal comments is not a required step.
- After you have entered internal comments, click Update to add this action to the Pending Updates page.
You will then place the new updated record in a batch to be uploaded to SEVIS. See SEVIS Admin: Assigning a SEVIS Update to a Batch.
