Overview
The scholarship program type is one of the four default program types in the software. It is used for applications to programs that may provide funding or additional opportunities in conjunction with another program application. These programs function with the same style of interface and process elements as the other program types, but with a few distinct properties.

Scholarship programs have a reduced feature set because they do not involve the travel aspects of the data tracking mechanisms. They do not utilize locations or program itinerary records as a part of the application process.
Scholarship programs do appear in the public program catalog and applicants apply to specific application cycles. Both internal and external applicant types can apply to scholarship programs, based on how the program is configured on the Settings tab in the program builder.
Scholarship programs do count toward application limits set for application cycles in Settings > System Features > Process Options. (In versions prior to TDS 15, Scholarship applications did not count.) If an applicant has already reached the maximum number of applications for a term, they will be prevented from creating an additional application, regardless of program type, and receive a message about reaching the maximum.
