This program type is a stripped down application that does not implement many features. It is a simple way for an applicant to fill out the Incident Report application either with a questionnaire and a few learning contents or through a OneStep form. Here are a few examples of programs of this type:
- Accident/injury
- Sexual-harassment/assault
- Theft
- Disciplinary violation
- Proposal
- Partner visit
To enable this program type go to Programs -> Program Types and click on the 'Browse TDCL' tab at the top of the page. To install the Incident Report program type on your site, click on the download icon in the 'Actions' column of this listing.
One of the configuration options that can be assigned to a program type are the applicant parameters that should only apply to a user if they have an application to a program of that type. These can be configured by going to Programs -> Program Types and clicking the edit pencil for a program type.
The edit form you are brought to will allow you to assign the applicant parameters to that program type. Once an applicant parameter has been assigned to a program type, it will only appear in a user's profile if s/he has at least one application to a program of that type. However, parameters can be assigned to multiple program types. It is only necessary for the user to have an application in one of the assigned program types for it to be a part of that user's profile.
If an applicant parameter needs to be assigned to all users regardless of their applications, an administrator can go to System Settings -> Applicant Params and click the edit pencil for that parameter. There will be an option for 'Applies to profile?' that can be changed to 'Yes'. When this setting is enabled, all users will have the applicant parameter as a part of their profile.
To create a program using this program type, go to Programs -> Create New. Note: Make sure to select 'Incident Report' from under the Program Type dropdown list.
When you are finished filling out the appropriate information click the 'Add' button. You will then be presented with the program builder for this program.
The following features will be available with this program type:
- Parameters
- Identity Verification
- OneStep
This is a non searchable program, therefore you will need to provide a direct link to the user. You can create an 'Apply Now' button by going to the Settings tab inside the program builder. If you would like the button to say something other than 'Apply Now' simply change the wording in the top field and new code will be generated with the new wording. There are two options to provide a link to the Incident Report:
- You can insert this html on any public facing page to direct users to the Incident Report.
- You can insert the html for the 'Apply Now' button inside the application through the application instructions. To do this go to the Settings tab inside the program builder and paste the HTML code inside the instruction text box beside the appropriate phase.
Note: If you prefer to simplify this type of program you can create a OneStep form. Please refer to the additional resources for instructions on how to create a OneStep form. You can also create an Apply Now button for the OneStep form and embed this code in the application instructions or public pages. If you would like the button to say something other than 'Apply Now' simply change the wording in the top field and new code will be generated with the new wording.
Note: The site visitor will see an itinerary record on their application. Since there are no program itinerary records found but there is a program date record with start and end dates for that application cycle, a location-less application itinerary record will be generated in the application with those start and end dates.
