Before requesting a change to your SIS/HR feed file, please read and familiarize yourself with the article listed under additional resources "How to add or remove SIS Custom Mapped Parameters" so that you understand the impacts of these changes on data collection in your application process.
For Terra Dotta Hosted and SaaS customers sending SIS or HR feed files to the Terra Dotta servers: If you need to make changes to the content (the fields/columns) of the feed file, please follow these instructions. Careful coordination is required to ensure a smooth transition.
We require at least two weeks notice of changes to data feeds.
Changes to the SIS or other integrations are billable as a professional services project. Those involving simple addition of fields to the data feed are typically billed at 2 hours, unless unusual complications arise.
- Notify us of the intended changes: field names and sizes. New data columns must be appended to the end of the existing file structure.
- Upload a test file to the SSH folder with the additional columns. Terra Dotta will modify the data loader routine and let you know if the test file loads successfully.
- Notify us of the date when you will begin sending the new format.
On the specified date, Terra Dotta will change the load job to the new one and make mappings changes in the software for the changed fields.
Once the new mappings are in place, you will need to test and verify the data connections and watch the SIS Data Refresh logs for a few days to make sure that the new field data is being imported.
