Important Note: This article discusses classic functionality. For information on the modern applicant experience, refer to the Applicant Experience Knowledgebase article.
The Application/Record Preview tool allows administrators to get a view of the application/record page just as it would appear to the applicant/user. You can view an application/record for any program, in any phase and for any type of applicant/user.
To Use the Application/Record Preview tool, follow these steps:
- Process Admin -> Application/Record Preview
- You will be brought to a form where you can enter your specifications.
- Applicant/User Type - Choose the type of applicant/user you wish to simulate.
- Application Cycle - Choose the term and year of the application/record you wish to see.
- Date to Simulate - See what the application/record looks like to the applicant/user on different dates throughout the application/record process.
- Program Name - As each program can have different requirements, you must specify the program name.
- Application/Record Status - Select the status of the application/record you wish to preview.
- Click More Options to mark the applicant/user as underage, view decision letters, show the signature verification form or show that the journal was enabled for this applicant/user on the applicant/record level.
- Click View Preview
- You will be brought to a screen that mimics what an applicant/user with that description would see upon logging in to the site. You will see all the material submissions, questionnaires, learning content and assessments that student applying to the specified program in the specified phase would need to fill out in order to complete their application/record.
Note: if you have set up a material or questionnaire to be deployed based on a student parameter, it will not appear in the application/record preview.
