RTI Connect lets you log in to SEVIS RTI to access and download data from SEVIS into Terra Dotta ISSS, making your daily work easier. It’s not a simple process to ensure that your SEVIS data is compliant and matches the data in your SEVIS management software (as well as your student information system). RTI Connect will help you clearly and quickly identify - and resolve - data discrepancies.
International students and scholars will NOT be able to access RTI Connect. It is an admin-facing tool only.
With RTI Connect, you can:
- Obtain RTI data from SEVIS for records from the selected list
- Download full or partial SEVIS lists
- Import RTI data into Terra Dotta
- Track the progress of downloading reports
- View and work with RTI data in a simple, intuitive interface
- Review RTI records and track advisor review progress by selecting a review status
- Confirm which advisor reviewed a record, and when
- Quickly confirm if RTI records match Terra Dotta records, if some fields have any data discrepancies, or if the RTI record doesn't exist in Terra Dotta
- View a side-by-side comparison of RTI and Terra Dotta data
- Update Terra Dotta with RTI data for all RTI records or for selected RTI records
- View the list of failed RTI record downloads, as applicable
- Quickly view data for historic RTI report downloads
- View the list of current RTI downloads
- Search for confirmed RTI match, failed RTI Downloads, and updated Terra Dotta records within a specific date range
- Export the RTI download report in an Excel file
RTI Features
Access RTI Connect by clicking on the RTI button on the SEVIS Admin menu bar. When the RTI dashboard opens up, you can perform the following tasks:
1. Launch RTI Connect: Log in to SEVIS RTI and download data for the desired list.
2. SEVIS Lists: Navigate to the Report pages by clicking on the links. The page will download with the most recent RTI data.
3. Current RTI Downloads: Check the progress of the active downloads using reports. Only one active download per list or alert type is permitted. Clicking on a report name will open the Download RTI Records dialog window where you can view the RTI Report Download progress bar
4. Downloaded Lists and Alerts: Displays downloaded complete and partial SEVIS lists and alerts. Note also the dropdown menu where you may select the campus or program whose associated lists you wish to review in the Downloaded Lists and Alerts window below.
The functionality of the Downloaded Lists and Alerts display is as follows:
5. Number of lists or partial lists.
6. Number of entries displayed.
7. Search box. Search for a list download by word or phrase.
8. Pagination of displayed results.
9. List/Alert dropdown menu: click and dropdown to select the displayed lists. Leaving the selection field blank will display all downloaded lists.
10. Download date. Date the list was downloaded from SEVIS.
11. Full / Partial /Alert: Indicates if the download contains a SEVIS list in its entirety, a partial SEVIS list, or an Alert.
12. Sorted by: This column indicates the sort criteria for the list in SEVIS prior to its download, if a partial list.
13. Sort order: Ascending or descending will be indicated, as downloaded.
14. Records downloaded: If a partial list, how many records were downloaded.
15. Advisor. The initials of the ISSS advisor who logged in and downloaded the list.
16. Sort. Click this icon in any column to sort and reverse sort the order of the row entries.
Clicking on the list or alert link will open a window where you may review and compare all data associated with the downloaded list or alert.
