Overview
This KB article reviews the process of initiating bulk requests for a group of students. You can define a group of students from the Student List page and assign a request for each student. You can also approve, submit for later approval, or send to the student for them to complete and submit.
- Step 1: Define the Group of Students
- Step 2: Select the Actions Button
- Step 3: Select the Request
- Mass Request Report
Step 1: Define the Group of Students
To initiate a request for a group of students, you will begin by defining which students the request will be created for. Navigate to the Student List page and use the filter options by clicking on the dropdown arrow to the right of the Search field to narrow the student population the request will apply to. Filtering by Stage and Visa-type is required.
If the request should be assigned to all students in the filtered list, you can move onto Step 2. If you need to further narrow the list, you can select the checkboxes next to the names of the students in the left column on the Student List page.
Step 2: Select the Actions Button
Once you have a student population narrowed down and have selected the appropriate students, click on the “Actions” button from the top of the Student List page. You can then choose to “Add a Request for Selected Students” or “Add a Request for All.”
Choosing “Add Request for All” will assign the request to all students returned on the Student List search results, across all pages, not just the current page. You will then be presented with a modal where you can choose from available requests.
Step 3: Select the Request and Submit
Once the request has been selected, you can complete available fields to apply any data to the request that applies to all students. Filling in any information in the available fields is optional.
Once the information has been entered, you have the following options:
- Submit: submit the request to the students’ profiles to later be processed in the Student Request List.
- Approve Changes: approve and batch the request if the request is SEVIS-Mapped.
- Approve: approve the request if the request is non-SEVIS-Mapped.
- Save: this option sends the request to the student’s profile for the student to later complete and submit.
Mass Request Report
In the upper left corner of the Student List page, the “Mass Request Report” button provides you with information on previously submitted mass requests to students. Clicking on the button will open a modal window with information including Request Name, Status, Requests Processes, Failed Request Count, Start On Dates, and End On Dates.
